Raising the Benchmark in Managed Print & Document Services
Karlson UK Limited was originally formed in 2003 by Bill Todd and Martyn Kidd. Both had become disillusioned with the transactional thinking that was so common in the print technology industry at that time and they wanted to offer customers much more choice and value.
As their early vision started to take shape Bill and Martyn encouraged Kevin Hogg and Christian Downes to join them, both were similarly motivated to create something innovative and compelling in the print marketplace.
During the first 9 months of trading Karlson’s pioneering approach to managed print services attracted a number of well-known organisations. These early customers enjoyed being part of the new entity and they had a genuine interest in helping Karlson to evolve the uniqueness in their service offering. Many are still customers today.
The management team gradually began to develop the concept of ‘Workplace Technology’ and recognised that they needed to add greater depth and experience in IT to help support the next stage of growth of the business. In 2008 Stephen Todd joined the board to help bridge the gap between print technology and IT services.
Karlson continues to grow organically and new and old customers still enjoy the highest level of service and commitment. This is testament to the vision, process, desire of all staff and partners who have embraced the Karlson ethos and business ethic.
